Foundation A

This program is designed for 9 years old and younger children who are new to playing badminton. The goals are to teach the fundamentals of badminton, basic hitting skills, basic front-back footwork, rules of the game, applicable badminton terminologies. The class will be focus on eye and hand coordination, L shape multi-feed, multi predictable feed 17/20 shuttle counts in half court (mini court), producing sweat & fun games.
Curriculum:
Basic strokes – Including proper grip, a swing of the racket, follow-through, using full-body motion through, racket and shuttlecock point of contact, how to serve & return, backhand net, backhand lift, backhand serve, forehand overhead clear (L shape), forehand net, forehand lift, ready position.
Basic footwork – Ready position, shuffle back and forth and stroke combination.
General physical – Eye & hand coordination, warm-up & cool down exercises, cardiovascular & endurance exercises, strengthening & flexibility exercises.
Basic court play rules – Scoring for singles and doubles games, service/receiving, faults, on Court etiquette and sportsmanship.
Life skills – Persistence, patience, endurance, fairness, honesty, teamwork, friendship, sportsmanship, etc.

Foundation B

This program is designed for 10 years old and older children who are new to playing badminton. The goals are to teach the fundamentals of badminton, basic hitting skills, basic front-back footwork, rules of the game, applicable badminton terminologies. (Satisfactory performance in Foundation class and/or with recommendation by coach)

Designed for students who are new to their school’s badminton team or who have previously attended clinics or training sessions for beginners who want to impress on the social court or have learned the sport via games played occasionally for fitness or small group competitions (friendly matches). The goals are to teach how to move and hit correctly continuous shots (single bird) with coach in half court (mini court). Minimum two days per week attendance. The class will be focus on skill development (body coordination), physical training to strengthen the feet & core, hit half court rally with coach 50 shuttle counts in half court (mini court).

Curriculum:

Basic strokes – Backhand drive, forehand drive, simple smash, forehand serve.
Basic footwork – Serve, high clear, drop shots, net, lift smash, drive.
General physical – Endurance, resistance training, flexibility, speed, power (on-court training).
Basic court play rules – Scoring for singles and doubles games, service/receiving, faults, on Court etiquette and sportsmanship
Life skills – Persistence, patience, endurance, fairness, honesty, teamwork, friendship, sportsmanship, etc.

Rally: Yellow

(Satisfactory performance in Rally: White class and/or with recommendation by coach)

Training sessions for children who wants to impress on the social court or have learned the sport via games played occasionally for fitness or small group competitions (friendly matches). The goals are to teach how to sustain rally half court (mini court) single with another student for 50 continuous shots. Minimum two days per week attendance. The class will be focus on skill development (body coordination), physical training to strengthen the feet & core.

Curriculum:

Basic strokes – Net kill, block or defense, overhead drop shot.
Basic footwork – Serve, high clear, drop shots, net, lift smash, drive.
General physical – Endurance, resistance training, flexibility, speed, power (on-court training).
Basic court play rules – Scoring for singles and doubles games, service/receiving, faults, on Court etiquette and sportsmanship
Life skills – Persistence, patience, endurance, fairness, honesty, teamwork, friendship, sportsmanship, etc.

Competitor: Orange

(Satisfactory performance in Rally: Yellow class and/or with recommendation by coach)

A competition level, focus on players who desire to bring their badminton game to the next level (introducing junior level tournament competition). Designed for student to compete, assist prepare and promote children with aspirations on competing in local and outside tournaments. Coach will place extra emphasis on assisting all students enrolled on the program to quickly, efficiently and effectively achieve their goal. Minimum two days or more per week attendance. The goals is to make student can generate power to hit back to back court consistently 50 continuously shots with other students, move fluently back and forth and net control (net tightly) in half court (mini court). The class will be focus on power development (upper body), back to back clear, strong lift, soft net, upper body strength and core.

Curriculum:

Basic strokes – Introduction of tactical strokes
Basic footwork – Serve, high clear, drop shots, net, lift, smash, drive.
General physical – Endurance, resistance training, flexibility, speed, power (on-court training).
Basic court play rules – Scoring for singles and doubles games, service/receiving, faults, on Court etiquette and sportsmanship
Life skills – Focus on tactical decision making while playing games, persistence, patience, endurance, fairness, honesty, teamwork, friendship, sportsmanship, etc.

Competitor: Purple

(Satisfactory performance in Competitor: Green class and/or with recommendation by coach)

The Program is designed for advanced competitive players to improve and advance players technique and meet their individual goals and more numbers of tournaments participation. Minimum three days or more per week attendance. The goals is to make student can move around the court (4 corners) / full court coverage and hit properly with coach (multi-feed full court), make children being a fast-paced sport, involves a fleet of foot, fast reflexes, tremendous body balance & reach, proper fundamentals and applying advanced techniques, applying a variety of strokes, controlling on errors, advanced training on attack, defensive and trick shots. The class will be focus on full court coverage (lower body), continuity of shots with one shuttle, form & power, no resting intervals between prolonged rallies, the mental component of the badminton training program, game strategies, quality of shots (backhand drive, forehand drive, simple smash, forehand serve in the full court coverage.

The Program is designed for advanced competitive players to improve and advance players technique and meet their individual goals and more numbers of tournaments participation. Minimum three days or more per week attendance. The goals is to make student can move around the court (4 corners) / full court coverage and hit properly with coach (multi-feed full court), make children being a fast-paced sport, involves a fleet of foot, fast reflexes, tremendous body balance & reach, proper fundamentals and applying advanced techniques, applying a variety of strokes, controlling on errors, advanced training on attack, defensive and trick shots. The class will be focus on playing games (combining skills), continuity of shots with one shuttle, form & power, no resting intervals between prolonged rallies, the mental component of the badminton training program, game strategies, quality of shots (backhand drive, forehand drive, simple smash, forehand serve in the full court coverage.

Special Program Class: FastTrack

(Satisfactory performance in Competitor: Blue class and/or with recommendation by coach)

Minimum three days or more per week attendance. Designed for advanced competitive players. Program is designed to improve and advance players technique and meet their individual goals. More numbers of tournaments participation.

Being a fast-paced sport, it involves a fleet of foot, fast reflexes, tremendous body balance & reach
Focus on the no resting intervals between prolonged rallies.
The mental component of the badminton training program.
Proper fundamentals and applying advanced techniques.
Focus on game strategies, applying a variety of strokes, controlling on errors.
Advanced training on attack, defensive and trick shots, video analysis of training and matches of players.

Adult Class

We have different adult level classes that could match your skill level and goals whether you’re a beginner or an advanced adult player.

For your convenience, we offer adult group training for both beginner and advanced levels during mid-afternoon and late evenings. We administer an individual assessment to place and group the individual accordingly. We focus on properly improving the consistency, accuracy, and strategies of the game. Examples of material covered are the basic game principles, game strategies and executions, doubles rotations, tempo and situational training.
